The patient attended Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam suffering from unstable angina pectoris. He is a patient with blood sugar, high blood pressure, and a smoker at the age of 42. All the above factors are risk factors that qualify for coronary insufficiency.

A diagnostic catheter was performed and it was found that the coronary arteries were blocked (the main anterior descending and circular artery), and the treating medical team (cardiac and thoracic surgery/heart and blood vessels / intensive care) decided that the optimal treatment for his condition is an open heart operation, and given Because of his young age and his desire to return to normal life and practice his work in the shortest possible time, he chose to perform the heart operation through the latest open heart techniques (which is being conducted for the first time in the Kingdom), which is by opening a small incision not exceeding several centimeters in the front chest wall of the chest. The left side up to the heart from the chest muscle without breaking the ribs in order to avoid the usual procedure through the incision of the sternum, which needs a healing period of two to three months for the patient to return to his normal state and practice his work as usual.

The operation was successfully performed and the coronary arteries were connected, and the patient was transferred to the intensive care room for two days only until he recovered completely, and then he was transferred to a normal room for two days before leaving the hospital in full health and wellness, praise be to God.

It is worth noting that this type of operation is considered the most advanced in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and is in line with the vision of the Mouwasat Medical Services Company to attract qualified medical professionals and specialties while providing the latest technologies and medical equipment.

Jubail - Mouwasat Hospital

A new historical medical milestone has been achieved at Mouwasat Hospital in Jubail by diagnosing and successfully treating the first confirmed case of pulmonary paragonimiasis in Saudi Arabia. This rare parasitic disease primarily affects the lungs. Remarkably, this case is also the first documented worldwide where the infection caused a scrotal abscess, ultimately requiring the removal of one testicle.

Further examinations uncovered a rare complication, a scrotal abscess, which was surgically removed in a successful procedure.

Case Details

The patient came with chronic bleeding and low hemoglobin levels. After comprehensive diagnostic tests, including imaging and endoscopy, a tumor was detected in the right colon near the liver, requiring immediate surgical intervention.
