The patient arrived at the Emergency Department in critical condition. Initial examination revealed a corneal laceration in the left eye along with cataract formation. Advanced diagnostic tests, including CT scan and ocular ultrasound, confirmed the presence of the foreign body inside the eye and bleeding in the vitreous cavity.

This rare parasitic disease primarily affects the lungs. Case Details 

The patient, a 41-year-old Filipino male, presented to the emergency department with persistent respiratory symptoms lasting several weeks. Initial imaging revealed lung infections resembling tuberculosis, but tests ruled out TB. 

Thanks to the hospital’s advanced diagnostic capabilities and the expertise of its medical team, specialized sample analysis detected parasitic eggs, leading to an accurate diagnosis. Further examinations uncovered a rare complication, a scrotal abscess, which was surgically removed in a successful procedure.
