The medical staff at Mouwasat Hospital in Qatif was able to successfully perform a stone fragmentation treatment on a man in his fifties. The patient had kidney stones in the left kidney, which was not in its typical anatomical location because to a unique birth defect.

This type of situation is very complicated since the kidney is in an unusual position, which makes it hard to use traditional stone fragmentation methods.

The patient first went to the Urology Clinic because they had been having pain in the bottom left side of their abdomen for more than a year. Dr. Omar Nass, a consultant urologist at Mouwasat Hospital in Qatif, headed the medical team that quickly took care of the case. The essential imaging tests and evaluations were done to figure out the best way to treat the problem.

The procedure went well. It used a flexible ureteroscope and laser technology, so there was no need for surgery. The patient was sent home in great health and completely healed.

This type of procedure uses cutting-edge medical technology, which is in accordance with the strategic objective of Mouwasat Medical Services Company. The company continues to attract top-tier experts and specialist sub-disciplines, and it also uses the newest medical equipment and advancements in the sector.

The Cardiac Surgery team at Mouwasat Hospital in Riyadh has achieved a remarkable success story, performing a highly complex and high-risk procedure on a patient in his sixties.

The patient arrived at the Emergency Department in critical condition, struggling with severe shortness of breath and lung congestion. Further evaluation revealed advanced weakness of the heart muscle, multiple blockages in the coronary arteries, and significant narrowing of both carotid arteries, reaching up to 90%.

Faced with these life-threatening challenges, a multidisciplinary team of cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, and intensive care specialists came together to carefully assess the case. After thoroughly explaining the condition and treatment options, the patient gave his consent to proceed with urgent surgery.

The operation included coronary artery bypass grafting along with a right carotid endarterectomy to restore blood flow and lower the risk of stroke. With God’s grace and the skill of the medical team, the patient recovered immediately after surgery without complications. Within just seven days, he was discharged in stable health and able to return to his normal life.

This successful outcome not only highlights the expertise and dedication of the medical staff but also reflects Mouwasat’s commitment to providing advanced, patient-centered care.
