Dr. Mohamed Gouda – Consultant Gastroenterologist at Mouwasat Hospital – published a scientific paper in collaboration with researchers from 11 reference centers across six countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (represented by Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam). This research aims to analyze the changes in the behavior and characteristics of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) over the past two decades. The results showed remarkable shifts in the disease's behavior and clinical presentation, with a decrease in the incidence of extraintestinal manifestations and a change in the pattern of inflammation, especially among newly diagnosed patients.
